Mech Type Descriptions:
Mechs will fall into 1 of three categories based upon their optimal weapons range. This means that based upon the range where there full weapons payload is optimally discharged for full damage. This does not mean they cannot engage in longer range or shorter ranged engagements it merely means that this is the range they are best suited to fight inside of. The most important thing to remember is that the below descriptors are based on weapon range and not weapon types
- Brawler (0m-300m)
- Skirmisher (300m-650m)
- Sniper (650m+)
Clan things to know:
- Top 10 Clan Mechs to own
- Although specific mech variants will be listed with specific build information remember that with clan omni mechs most of the builds you see can be recreated on other variants so long as they do not utilize any center torso specific weapon mounts.
Inner Sphere things to know:
- Top 10 IS Mechs to own
- Inner Sphere XL engines are more fragile than their clan counterparts due to the fact they can die from a single side torso removal. For this reason it is very important that you learn to protect Inner Sphere mechs by twisting to distribute damage across the entirety of your mech
