A Sniper mech is a mech that focuses on long range combat above all else. Since they are choosing to engage enemies at a relatively far distance they are less concerned with durability and are focused more on range of combat and sustained down range fire. These are not the highest [[DPS]] mechs. They will be out dueled by both [[brawler]] and [[skirmisher]] style mechs if those mechs get inside of their effective weapon range.
